Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, home of the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers and AHL Cleveland Monsters and host to the world’s top touring acts, concerts and special events will commemorate its 30th anniversary throughout the 2024-25 sports and entertainment season. The celebration will reflect on the FieldHouse’s rich history, highlighting memorable performances, iconic wins, fan-favorite experiences, and its significant impact on the city of Cleveland and the Northeast Ohio community.

The opening of the brand-new arena in 1994 provided Cleveland with a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue at the heart of the city, igniting a wave of economic growth and revitalization in downtown Cleveland. Over the past 30 years, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse has fulfilled its promise of becoming a premier destination for sports and entertainment, hosting over 5,000 events and attracting 1.5 million visitors annually. The arena’s enduring success has solidified its role as a central hub for both local and international events, contributing to Cleveland’s cultural and economic vibrancy.

Dan Gilbert First Press Conference as Cavaliers ChairmanIn 2005, following Cavs Chairman Dan Gilbert's purchase of the team from former owner Gordon Gund, the venue was renamed Quicken Loans Arena. During the 2019 season, the building underwent a $185 million transformation and was rebranded as Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. This major renovation has maintained the arena's status as a premier sports and entertainment destination, integrating state-of-the-art technology and sustainable practices.

Throughout the Cavs 2024-25 season special 30th Anniversary theme nights will invite fans to take a trip down memory lane to relive some of the greatest wins and memorable moments that have taken place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. There will be unique 30th anniversary ticket packages, surprise performances, exclusive retail collaborations and more, paired with theme nights for a celebratory season of Cavs basketball. The LED power portal will showcase artwork by renowned local artist Kasumi. Known for her exploration of life’s meaning and gravity, Kasumi's animation and mixed media will bring the celebration to life, creating a captivating welcome for all fans.

The Cavs Team Shop, Center Court will feature 30th anniversary exclusive merchandise collaborations with Wild Collective, Homage, and Sportiqe. A limited-edition line inspired by the team's rich history will feature a pearl jacket, honoring the traditional 30th-anniversary gift, alongside vintage-inspired apparel that pays homage to the original 1994 Cavs and Gund Arena designs. Fans can sign up to be notified when the limited edition merchandise goes on sale at cavaliersteamshop.com.

Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse: Public Art Program

Curated by Library Street Collective, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse’s art program is privately funded by Cavaliers Chairman Dan Gilbert and his wife Jennifer. It includes works made especially for the transformed venue, its teams, and the Cleveland community.

Celebrating Cleveland's Diverse Community

The program features work by a diverse group of local, national, and international artists, who have come together with the goal of celebrating the camaraderie between Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and its community of athletes, performers, and guests.

Impact Through Art

100+ total pieces of art in the collection. 22 diverse local, national and international artists. 20 ft. tall sculpture by internationally-renowned artist KAWS. 8 artists with ties to Cleveland and Northern Ohio. 4 vertical stories of immersive installations by acclaimed artists Same Friedman and Thrush Holmes.
