Quicken Loans Arena Announces Two Promotions on Facility Operations Team
Antony Bonavita Promoted to Senior Vice President, Facility Operations
Matthew Miller Promoted to Vice President of Operations
Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse and the Cleveland Cavaliers have announced two promotions within the Facility Operations team. Antony Bonavita has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Facility Operations, and Matthew Miller has been promoted to Vice President of Operations.
The Facility Operations Team is responsible for the successful programming, maintenance and daily operations of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, home to the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers, AHL Lake Erie Monsters, and AFL Cleveland Gladiators; as well as other facilities within Cavaliers Operating Company including Cleveland Clinic Courts (the state-of-the-art practice facility for the Cavaliers,) and commercial properties in downtown Cleveland as part of the Q Real Estate Management Group.
Antony Bonavita, CFE joined the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse as Vice President of Facility Operations in June 2010 after serving two years as Assistant General Manager for the AT&T Center, home to the San Antonio Spurs. Prior to that, he spent 13 years in collegiate athletics at Stony Brook University, New York, where he earned his degrees; a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and his master’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration on Leadership and Management.
As a Certified Facilities Executive (CFE), Bonavita has more than 19 years of experience in facility and event management, and is credited for his progressive thinking and focus on the overall guest experience.
Bonavita is an active member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), where he also teaches at the Venue Management School. He is a member of the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA), and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). Antony also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Alzheimer’s Association, Cleveland Chapter, and on the Board of Directors for City Year, Cleveland.
Matthew Miller brings more than 30 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry, and has worked diligently to become a highly respected leader in facility operations by successfully executing thousands of events.
Miller has been an important part of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse’s operations team for more than 16 years, serving most recently as Senior Director of Facility Operations.
Prior to moving to Cleveland, Miller was Manager of Events for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for eight years. He began his career in sports and entertainment as a Game Day Operations Coordinator at the University of Connecticut for six years, where he also received his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management.
