Taste of Black Cleveland

All proceeds from the Taste of Black Cleveland will benefit the Cleveland NAACP, The Cavaliers Community Foundation HBCU Scholarship Program and the participating chefs and mixologists.

The tasting experience is $100 and includes:

• Access to food and drink tasting from 20+ local Black chefs and local Black mixologists
• Two drink tickets
• A vote in the contest for top participants
• Access to the ‘After Taste’ experience

 

The extended experience is $120 and includes:

• Access to food and drink tasting from 20+ local Black chefs and local Black mixologists

• A vote in the contest for top participants
• Access to the ‘After Taste’ experience
• X1 ticket to LL Cool J – The F.O.R.C.E. Live on August 12^th

 

 The VIP experience is available for $200 and includes:

• Access to an exclusive VIP area with a dedicated bar, food and drink tastings from local Black chefs and mixologists
• A vote in the contest for top participants
• Access to the ‘After Taste’ experience, Exclusive interaction with the previous winning Chefs
• x1 Cleveland Cavaliers game ticket per ticket purchased
• x1 ticket to LL Cool J – The F.O.R.C.E. Live on August 12^th

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland NAACP, Black CoLabs, and Aramark, in partnership with Hennessy, are proud to present A Taste of Black Cleveland: The Food Showcase 5.0 on Thursday, August 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The tasting portion will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where guests can sample signature dishes from 20 Black owned establishments. The night will continue with the “After Taste” and will feature seven Black owned pasty and dessert businesses.

 

The fifth annual Taste of Black Cleveland welcomes the public to a cultural celebration of Cleveland’s top Black-owned food and beverage businesses. 

 

The event shines a spotlight on the diverse culture, cuisine, and live entertainment in local Black communities. Chefs will prepare their signature dishes for guests to sample and vote on to award winning participants a grand prize. Local Black mixologists will provide drink samples and will compete for the People’s Choice Drink of the Night presented by Hennessey. New this year, the event will incorporate five local Black owned wine companies and will feature their product at the event. Glasses of wine will be redeemable with a drink ticket. All proceeds from the Taste of Black Cleveland will benefit the participating businesses, Cleveland NAACP, and the Cavaliers Community Foundation HBCU Scholarship Program.

 

Tickets for the tasting experience are $100 and include two drink tickets, and food and drink tastings from over 20 local Black Chefs and wine companies. The ticket also grants one vote in the contest for top participants along with entrance to the “After Taste” celebration that will feature seven Black owned pastry and dessert businesses.

 

For an extended experience, guests can purchase a ticket for $120 that includes an LL Cool J The F.O.R.C.E Live Concert Ticket the following Saturday, August 12 at 8:00 p.m., two drink tickets, and food and drink tastings from over 20 local Black Chefs and wine companies. The extended experience will grant one vote in the contest for top participants along with admission to the “After Taste” celebration that will feature seven Black owned pastry and dessert businesses.

 

The VIP experience is $200 and includes an

LL Cool J The F.O.R.C.E Live Concert Ticket for Saturday, August 12 at 8:00 p.m., a predetermined Cavs game ticket for the 2023-24 season, exclusive entry to a VIP area with select food and drinks from previous winners, Uncle Nearest 1856 Premium Whiskey and admission to the “After Taste” celebration that will feature seven Black owned pastry and dessert businesses.
