Event Details

This premier annual fundraiser supports Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and celebrates a year of athletic achievements in Northeast Ohio from high school stars to professional athletes. Cleveland’s sports and business scene will gather for a night of networking and appearances from local and national sports celebrities. Additional details about this year's show are forthcoming.

The evening will include red carpet arrivals, a cocktail hour featuring a high-value silent auction presented by Physicians Ambulance, an open bar, and a dinner buffet. Following the hour, guests will head to their seats in the arena for refreshments and a fully produced awards program mirrored on the venue’s big screen. The live awards show will be followed by the after party featuring martini and dessert bars and a live DJ.

In its 25-year history, Sports Awards has honored many outstanding Northeast Ohio athletes from high school stars to professional athletes. Previous award winners can be found here. Nominations for this year's winners have opened and the community can cast their votes for the following award categories until Nov. 1:

  • Male High School Athlete of the Year
  • Female High School Athlete of the Year
  • Male Collegiate Athlete of the Year
  • Female Collegiate Athlete of the Year
  • Professional Athlete of the Year
